Attention Juniper Family! The JLMBC Youth Ministry is excited to announce that we are planning a trip to visit the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. in late August! If you are interested in attending, please join us for an Interest Meeting on Monday, July 28, at 6:00 PM. During this meeting, we will share important details about the trip, including transportation, cost, itinerary, and registration information. Faith and Fitness. Faith and Fitness goes hybrid. Starting Thursday, August 6th Faith and Fitness will meet both in person and via Zoom. Remember the program encourages active aging and has a goal of reducing risk of falls and injury, and to promote overall health. More information to come!!! 156th Homecoming Celebration. Juniper, we will celebrate the 156th church anniversary on Saturday, August 1st, and Sunday, August 2nd. On Saturday, August 1st, we will have a church picnic at Carolina Pines Community Center. The address is 2305 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. Please join us for good food, fun, and a little friendly competition. To ensure there is plenty of food for all, please sign up on the church website by completing the registration form for each person in your group or family who plans to attend. Note: A ticket will be provided at registration for event dining. Therefore, it is important that you sign up for yourself or any family and friends that may be attending. 156th Homecoming Church Picnic - Volunteer Request. Our JLMBC 156th Homecoming Church Picnic is this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Carolina Pines Park at 2305 Lake Wheeler Rd., Raleigh, NC 27603. To help things run smoothly, we need your support. We need a Set-Up Team to arrive by 8:45am to help with setting up tables, chairs, and food prep. Then we need a Serving Team in place by 11:00am to serve lunch to the 300+ attendees. Once the festivities wind down, we will need a JLMBC Family Clean-Up Crew. Everyone is asked to help restore the facility—put away tables/chairs, collect trash, and pack up church items. Please sign up by Monday, July 27th to let us know where you can help. 2026 JLMBC Co-Ed Youth Basketball Clinic. Calling All Future Ball Players! As we celebrate 156 years of faith, fellowship, and community, we are excited to introduce the JLMBC Co-Ed Youth Basketball Clinic! Whether your child is an experienced player or simply enjoys shooting hoops with friends, this clinic is designed to be a fun, encouraging, and welcoming experience for boys and girls ages 9–17. This is more than basketball—it's an opportunity to: Learn new skills, build confidence, meet new friends, enjoy fellowship, and be part of our Homecoming celebration. We especially encourage parents, grandparents, and church families to invite young people to participate in their lives. No matter what their skill level, there's a place for them on the court! Let's fill the gym with energy, encouragement, and smiles as we invest in the next generation. We can't wait to see you there! In Celebration of our 156th Church Anniversary, the JLMBC Father and Son Basketball Game will be played Saturday, August 1st at 1:30 pm at Carolina Pines Park, 2305 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. Fathers are asked to wear black t-shirts and black shorts and Sons are asked to wear white t-shirts and black shorts. 2026 JLMBC vs. Watts Chapel Co-Ed Kickball Game. Calling all JLMBC members! JLMBC has challenged Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church to a rematch kickball game during our 156th JLMBC Homecoming Celebration. The game will be held on Saturday, August 1st at 10:30 AM at Carolina Pines Park, 2305 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. We need your participation to help make this event a success! If you would like to be part of the JLMBC kickball team, please sign up as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. Ages 15 and up are welcome to participate. Please note: A separate sign-up form must be completed for each team member. Participants are asked to wear orange T-shirts. Moving Up Recognition Program. On Sunday, July 26, 2026, during the eleven o'clock service, the year-end "Moving Up" recognition program will be held. Parents, please go to the Church website and fill out and submit the appropriate form for your child. The deadline is July 17th. Building a Resilient Community Together. Do you wish to understand Intergenerational Trauma and its impact? Trauma affects us all, but healing happens in the community. Please join Faith Missionary Baptist Church for a powerful fireside chat to discover how we can look past behavior to recognize the signs of Trauma. Ongoing Announcements
Silent Testimony Ministry. Calling all youth and young adults! Come be a part of the Silent Testimony Mime Team Ministry and worship God with us through creative movements and/or flags. We meet on Monday nights 6:30 pm-8:00 pm. We would love to have you! For more information, please contact Shea Bethea at 919-827-2168.
Mass Choir has returned. The Mass Choir has returned, and choir practice is every Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Male Choir is every Tuesday at 8:00 pm. If you want to be a part of the choir, please come out and participate. You can join at any time.
Youth Church. Parents, Youth Church is every second Sunday at 11:00 am. The ages are K to 17. Youths in K to 3rd grade meet in the upstairs classroom at the church, while youths in 4th grade to 12th grade meet at the Panther Branch Rosenwald School. There is a lot of fun, laughter, and fellowship while they learn about God and the Bible. Parents, please bring your children to these exciting classes on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Volunteers Needed. Volunteers are needed to help with the Produce Pickup/Community Hub (every 4th Thursday from 5:00pm-7:00pm & every 2nd Saturday from 12:00pm -2:00pm), Food Pantry (every 1st &3rd Thursday of the month 9:30am- 11:30am), Produce Truck (every 3rd Monday of the month starting at 9:30am), Panera Bread and Starbucks (every Sunday morning beginning at 7:00am). No sign up or registration needed you can just come out and volunteer.
Youth Ministry Volunteers Needed. If you are interested in serving in the youth ministry or working with the youth, please contact the interim youth Pastor Renee Robinson at 252-714-2009 via text message with your name and email information.
Call for Volunteers. If you like working in a garden, planting vegetables, growing fresh food, then we need you. It is time to start working in the Community Garden behind the Rosenwald School. If you would like to be a part of this endeavor, please contact the church office to have your name added to the list.

Act of Kindness: Adopt-A-Senior. Bring a personal touch to Seniors by directly providing them with some outside contact as well as with gifts to let them know they are loved and not forgotten. Will you adopt a senior? As an Adopter, you must be committed, obligated, dedicated, dependable and accountable to the senior you adopt. Whatever a senior’s needs you will be there to assist. Counseling Ministry. Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church now offers a no-cost, confidential Counseling Ministry. If you need of or know of someone that needs these services, the number is 919-664-0931. To ensure confidentiality, the sessions can only be scheduled by calling this number. A session cannot be scheduled through the Church Office.
