A Church of Action; A Church of Affirmation; A Church of Application
154th Homecoming. Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 154th Anniversary on Sunday August 4th. We will celebrate by partnering with Worldvision’s Chosen and August 3rd Juniper Level will be attending the Mental Health Responder Training at Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. The address is 3703 Tryon Road, Raleigh, NC 27606. The time is 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. If you have any questions, please contact LaDonna Thomas.
World Vision’s Chosen. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Their vision is “for every child, life in all its fullness”. WV will be on site Sunday, August 4th and Juniper Level will join WV in a mission call “CHOSEN” to help children/families in Rwanda reach their potential. Chosen is about Juniper and friends’ partnering with WV by pledging a donation of $39 monthly to help families. We will send pictures of those of us that wish to participate to Rwanda for the children to choose which one of us they want to adopt as their sponsor. We invite each of you to participate. Please be sure to bring a check or credit/card on August 4th should you decide to sign up. Ten to twelve adult volunteers are needed to assist. The setup and training will be on Saturday August 3rd at 4:00 pm. Volunteers contact Rev. Yevette Springfield at 919-368-4070.
2024 African American Cultural Festival. The AACF Festival will take place Labor Day Weekend, August 31, and September 1, in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church will be a sponsor this year. The committee is asking that the congregation please donate cases of water. The goal is to have five hundred cases, or more, of water by Sunday, August 28th. Please bring the water to the Fellowship Hall starting August 19th and it will be organized by the committee. We will need volunteers for this endeavor, if you wish to assist, please look for the Volunteer sign up link that will be forthcoming. Thank you, Juniper!!!

Silent Testimony Returns!! Calling all youths! Parents, if you have youth who wish to participate in Silent Testimony, please bring them to practice in the church Sanctuary on the fourth Saturdays, 3:00 pm and every Monday at 7:00 pm at JLMBC. Please contact Shea Bethea with any questions or concerns you may have at 919-827-2168.
Pearls with Purpose (formerly LIT: Ladies In Training) meet the third Saturdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Juniper Level. This mentoring group is for girls ages 8yrs-18yrs old. Parents/Guardians if you have or know of any young lady who would like to sign up for this group, please contact Tammie Jackson at (919)395-6403.
L.O.T (Leaders of Today.) L.O.T (formerly MOP, Men of Purpose) meet the third Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Juniper Level. This mentoring group is for boys ages 13yrs-18yrs old. Parents/Guardians if you have or know of any young men who would like to sign up for this group, please contact Eric Clark at 919-830-5765 or the Church Office.
Volunteers Needed. Volunteers are needed to help with the Produce Pickup/Community Hub (every 4th Thursday from 5:00pm-7:00pm & every 2nd Saturday from 12:00pm -2:00pm), Food Pantry (every 1st &3rd Thursday of the month 9:30am- 11:30am), Produce Truck (every 3rd Monday of the month starting at 9:30am), Panera Bread and Starbucks (every Sunday morning beginning at 7:00am). No sign up or registration needed you can just come out and volunteer.
Youth Ministry Volunteers Needed. If you are interested in serving in the youth ministry or working with the youth, please contact the interim youth Pastor Renee Robinson at 252-714-2009 via text message with your name and email information.
Call for Volunteers. If you like working in a garden, planting vegetables, growing fresh food, then we need you. It is time to start working in the Community Garden behind the Rosenwald School. If you would like to be a part of this endeavor, please contact the church office to have your name added to the list.

Act of Kindness: Adopt-A-Senior. Bring a personal touch to Seniors by directly providing them with some outside contact as well as with gifts to let them know they are loved and not forgotten. Will you adopt a senior? As an Adopter, you must be committed, obligated, dedicated, dependable and accountable to the senior you adopt. Whatever a senior’s needs you will be there to assist. Counseling Ministry. Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church now offers a no-cost, confidential Counseling Ministry. If you need of or know of someone that needs these services, the number is 919-664-0931. To ensure confidentiality, the sessions can only be scheduled by calling this number. A session cannot be scheduled through the Church Office.
